Whether you’re a road cyclist in top form, a weekend recreational rider, or a parent pulling two kids in a trailer, Eugene’s Blackberry bRamble is the ride for you.

The Blackberry bRamble has long been known for its scenic route, extraordinary rest stops, reliable support and free blackberry pie and ice cream at the finish.

Final events are being finalized but we are planning an even better event than last year which looked like this:

The night before the ride, meet other riders at a community dinner ($10.00) in support of  Eugene’s Adaptive Cycling program.   All are welcome to reserve a  campsite overnight in Amazon Park, and purchase a pancake breakfast on the morning of the ride.

  • To reserve your camp site, dinner or breakfast through the City of Eugene, Recreation Services call,   541-682-5311.
  • The cost for the  package of dinner, camping and breakfast is $20.00 or a la carte, dinner $10.00, camping $6.00 and breakfast $6.00.

Sunday morning, the rides begin.  Whether you’ve chosen the 100-mile Century, the 62-mile Metric Century, the 39-mile Crow Loop, or the 10/20-mile Community Ride, you’ll arrive back at Amazon Park to find a bike celebration in progress, with bike-powered music, local vendors, a bike rodeo and tricycle race for the kids, great food, a beer garden, and much more.  If you’re hot and tired, cool off with a swim at Amazon Pool for only $1.

All in all, it’s a great  bike event you won’t want to miss.

Registration will be limited to 500 riders for the 100, 62 and 39 mile rides. The cost is $35  for Pre-registration which ends August 2. Day of event registration will be $45

Registration for the Community Ride will be limited to 200 riders. The cost is $7.50 per adult for pre-registration with children 12 and under free, which ends August 2. Day of event registration will be $10.

If you’re interested in having a booth at the celebration here is the Booth Registration Form.

GETTING TO THE START

The starting point is at the Hilyard Community Center, 2580 Hilyard Street Eugene, OR 97405.  If traveling on I-5, take the E. 30th Avenue exit, then West on E. 30th Avenue to Hilyard Street (apx. 3 miles) then take a right and go about 4 blocks to the Hilyard Community Center.

THE BRAMBLE ROUTE
The Blackberry bRamble is a premier ride in the Northwest. Each year more cyclists enjoy a beautiful ride with lots of good food.
You climb slowly out of the Willamette Valley with a scenic view of Eugene below and then pass into the farms and vineyards of the Lorane Valley. The Wolf Creek Century riders will leave the metric riders and head to the small town of Lorane for their first rest stop. From Lorane they follow lightly traveled roads along the Siuslaw River under a full forest canopy. Wolf Creek is a strenuous climb followed by an exciting descent.

Near the rest stop in Crow the 100 mile riders rejoin the metric and Coyote riders who have been enjoying rolling countryside and not the strains of Wolf Creek. After the Crow food stop, the two centuries join to travel up Vaughn Road and Poodle Creek Road. The ride continues through forest and hills to the third rest stop at Fern Ridge Reservoir. The last 23 miles is a flat ride in the Willamette Valley, usually with a tail wind to assist the weary. The third ride returns to Eugene along Coyote Creek. The rides end at Amazon Park with a delicious Blackberry pie and ice cream treat while you socialize with other riders. If you want you’ll be able to take a shower or go for a swim after your ride.

THE COMMUNITY RIDE ROUTE
